The Windham Northeast Supervisory Union extends an invitation to you, as a representative of a private elementary and secondary school or as a representative of parents of private school (including home-schooled) children with disabilities.  There will be a consultation meeting, in compliance with federal law (The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act, or IDEA), regarding the district’s design and development of special education and related services for students with disabilities who are attending private schools or programs of home study in the district.  The meeting will be held on April 26, 2023 from 11:00 - 12:30 via Zoom.  We will discuss how and the extent to which those services will be offered to such students.

Introductions & Welcome

Distribute Policy & Procedure

Correct/revise student rosters

Revise Staffing as necessary

Child find process

Review how parents and private school officials will be informed
 Review last year’s process and service choices

How will we operate year to year

Director decides after input from this group
Some money set aside for new students who need services who arrive after our annual meeting
Continue ISPs for students who have them and then add more students as funding allows
