For Proof of Residency, the term residency means where you actually live. Residency requirements are not met merely because one owns property or has a business or a post office box in a WNESU town. 

All documentation should include the name of the parent/guardian and a valid WNESU town address:

• Bellows Falls
• Westminster
• Saxtons River
• Grafton
• Athens

Please provide ONE of the following:

• Mortgage agreement or title showing a WNESU town's address and name of parent/legal guardian
• Renters agreement or copy of lease showing a WNESU town's address and name of parent/legal guardian
• If you cannot provide one of the above because you live with someone in a WNESU town, please provide a notarized letter from that person which states you are living with them at that address. This letter must include the name of the parent/legal guardian, the name and address of the person you are living within the WNESU town, along with their proof of residency.

OR

Please provide TWO of the following documents dated within the last 60 days with name and address indicated:

• Valid Vermont driver’s license with the WNESU town address
• Current utility bill in your name
• Valid Vermont identification card with the WNESU town address
• Valid automobile insurance card with the WNESU address showing
• Valid voter registration card or receipt with a WNESU town's address
• Bank statement for last or current month (financial information redacted)
• Valid Vermont vehicle registration card

Pre-Registration Form

• To pre-register a student who is currently NOT enrolled in any PK-12 WNESU school navigate to the Pre-Registration Form using the appropriate button on the web page for the grade your student will be entering.  
• The Pre-Registration form is just the first step of the enrollment process and must be filled out for each child being enrolled in Windham Northeast District schools.
• Grade Level – Please select the grade level your student will be in when they start school. If you are registering your student to start school during the current school year enter their current grade level. If you are registering your student to start the following school year, please enter the grade level they will be in next year.
• School Preference – Please enter the school located in the town where the guardian of the student physically resides.

• After filling in the required fields, click on the APPLY TO SCHOOL and you will see a pop up letting you know that you have successfully submitted pre-registration form.
• When your pre-registration form has been reviewed and approved by school personnel you will receive the first of two emails. The first will acknowledge the approval or the Pre-Registration form and prompt you to look for a second email that will have a Username and Password for your PowerSchool Parent portal and instructions on how to complete the enrollment process.  The second email may take up to 60 min to arrive. If you are having difficulty setting up a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, please contact the registrar at the school you wish to enroll your child.  Note: Emails will be sent from Powerschool@wnesu.com or directly from one of the staff at the schools with a @wnesu.com email address, please check your spam folder if you don’t see this in your inbox.

Registration Form Completion:

• Once you have received the “WNESU Enrollment Next Steps” email with your Username and Password navigate to the PowerSchool Parent Portal Site: https://wnesu.powerschool.com/public/home.html
• Sign in using your login information that was provided to you. When you first sign, in you will be required to change your password. Your new password must be a minimum of 8 characters long. 
• Once signed in, you will navigate to the left-hand menu and click on forms and click on the Enrollment Tab

• You will be brought to the list of New Student Registration forms.  Each form will need to be filled out and submitted before your student can begin school.  Additionally, proof of residency, birthdate and immunization documentation will need to be uploaded or physically brought to the school. After you submit each form, you will receive a successfully completed message. 
• When all the registration forms are submitted and supporting documentation has been received, you will be contacted by school personnel to complete the placement process for your student, if they are in grades K-8 or to set up an enrollment meeting if your student is in grades 9-12.
