One Week of Remote Learning After Thanksgiving

November 24, 2020

Based upon all of the School Boards’ decisions in Windham Northeast, the school week from November 30th through December 4th will be a week of 100% remote learning, with no in-person classes held in any of the schools in WNESU.

This decision was made based upon the recommendations from the school nurses in the district and the district’s Wellness Committee.  These recommendations were supported by the Superintendent, School Administrators, and the Teacher's Union.

We are confident our teaching staff and administrators are fully capable and ready for providing quality remote instruction for your children. Teachers recently participated in professional development to increase their skills. They will be applying much of what they learned to be even more effective in teaching your children remotely.

Please understand that this decision was made with many factors in mind, all related to student and staff safety and student academic success. Based upon our experiences over the past nine months, we feel confident that we can smoothly transition to this week of remote instruction and then transition back to our current Hybrid Model beginning on Monday, December 7th.
