Report an Absence

Windham Northeast Supervisory Union uses the PowerSchool Parent Portal for families to view grades, schedules, and attendance. Parents and guardians can also use the portal to notify the school when their student will be absent.

How to Submit an Absence

  1. Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Attendance Monitor.
  3. At the top, select the Report Attendance tab.
  4. Click the blue Report Absence button.
  5. Enter the Absence Date. (Leave the second date blank to report today only.)
  6. From the dropdown menu, select whether your student will be absent.
  7. Choose Yes if the absence is for the whole day, or No if it is only partial.
    • If No, you will be prompted to enter a time range.
  8. Type an explanation in the Explanation box. Please provide as much detail as possible.
  9. Click Submit.

You will receive a confirmation email letting you know that your absence request was received.
