Type Settings

Type choices affect how easy your message is to read. WNESU uses two typefaces for consistency: Lora (headings and titles) and Work Sans (body text and general content). Use font styles that are clear, readable, and easy to scan—especially on screens. The minimum font size for all WNESU communications is 12 points (or equivalent on the web).

Type setting tips

  • Keep text still (avoid moving or scrolling text).
  • Don’t use animations that make text flash.
  • Use left-aligned text for paragraphs.
  • Don’t add important text as an image.
  • Avoid placing text on top of images. If you must, ensure strong contrast and readability.
  • Use bold for emphasis.
  • Avoid using underlines and italics for emphasis. (Underlines should be reserved for links.)
  • Avoid ALL CAPS for long words, sentences, or paragraphs.
