504 and ADA Grievance Policy


The Windham Northeast Supervisory Union and its member school districts are committed to providing all students and staff with a safe and supportive environment where their rights are protected under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Policies and Procedures

Our district prohibits discrimination based on disability in any program or activity, and we are committed to addressing and resolving any grievances related to 504 and ADA promptly and effectively.

Grievance Reporting Procedures

If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination based on disability or have witnessed such discrimination, you should report the incident immediately.

Designated Persons

Complaints should be reported to the 504/ADA Coordinator or the principal.

Filing a Complaint

Complaints can be filed with both the district or supervisory union and with state and federal agencies. If dissatisfied with the results of an investigation, complaints may be filed with state and federal agencies. Complaints should be filed within 180 days of any discriminatory action.
