After serving two terms on the Westminster Town School Board beginning in the late '80's I was appointed to fill an unexpired term on Bellows Falls Union High School board representing Westminster.  I have subsequently been reelected several more times.  My current term expires in March 2024.

As for why I do it, It's because I enjoy trying to help BFUHS meet the challenge of providing young men & women with the lifelong skills they will need in order to live successful lives.

I've lived in Bellows Falls for 23 years with my wife Lisa and six children. I'm entering
my third year on the BFUHS School Board. I've served as the Vice-President from 2022-2023, along with
1.5 years on the Rockingham and WNESU School Boards. Four of my children have graduated from
BFUHS while two are currently students.
Through the past 10 years I've held coaching positions with many local athletic programs including BF Junior League and Middle School, Rockingham Recreation, BFUHS Varsity Basketball, Assistant at Vermont Academy Basketball, and CVPWFL. I believe in preparing kids for the road ahead and not preparing the road for the kids.
Professionally I've worked for 30+ years in a variety of management positions in both the restaurant industry and professional services.  When I'm not attending after school sports for my kids, I enjoy working on my home, yard, detailing cars , and love family camping trips.

My name is June Streeter, and I live in Westminster with my husband and children. My husband, 4 of our children as well as myself are alumni of BFUHS, while my younger 2 children are currently enrolled at BFUHS. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite pastime is being at the ocean in the summertime.
I joined the BFUHS board with the intent to ensure the education the students are receiving is conducive to a successful future, as well as the environment is safe and healthy for the students and staff.

In 2021 I founded a nonprofit called Bellows Falls Trades; we are partnered with the BFUHS administration/guidance and support their “work-based” education initiative. I will continue to look for ways to advance the work-based and financial literacy efforts at the high school.

In my role on the board,  I will continue to look for ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency by which we prepare our young adults for success in today’s challenging and changing economy and work environment.

I am a 1990 graduate of BFUHS and have been in educational leadership for the past 24-plus years. I am finishing my Doctorate program in Educational Leadership and have experience working on state associations' executive committees and with boards.

As a board member, I will work to make sure that my role as a board member is to see the "BIG' picture in providing oversight and accountability while allowing the administration and faculty to handle the day-to-day management of the school. I will actively listen to our community members and taxpayers and commit to doing what is right, despite opposition.

A district's vision should be to set goals for what education will look like for our children over the next generation. I will be an engaging presence in the community supporting students' education.

Finally, I grew up in Bellows Falls and learned to succeed and fail. I credit my parents, brothers, teachers, and coaches, who were interested in helping me navigate life. Those experiences helped lay the foundation of my journey. I want to give back to the community that helped mold my values and impact the next generation of leaders.

I am a Westminster resident and parent of two young kids. I work as a communications specialist for a sustainable agriculture organization that focuses on research and farmer-driven innovations in agriculture. I have joined this board to work collaboratively in achieving goals for the school on behalf of the students and families in our communities. And, as someone who personally benefited from public education, I want to do my part to ensure my kids, and all the children in our community, get a similar opportunity.

As a Rockingham-based business and home owner, with many grandchildren in our school district, I put my faith and my energies into Rockingham. Having been a Bellows Falls village president and trustee since 2011, I continue to serve my community as a Rockingham Town Planner, Justice of the Peace and Notary Public. Having been a BFUHS board member since 2016, I return with renewed energy from a few months' respite to add my talents and my time to the future of our Bellows Falls Union High School. The future is now.
