Welcome to WNESU Technology Department

Technology Director

The WNESU and its member schools offer a surprising array of technology tools and learning opportunities to its students. All the schools are completely  networked and have a variety of student workstations including classroom desktops, computer labs, mobile computing labs, and other related equipment. The WNESU Technology Committee is currently working with teachers in the district to implement a system of technology assessments for students in grades 1-12. In addition, the WNESU provides a Technology Integration Resource Teacher to work with the teachers across the district to increase the integration of technology into the regular curriculum. For more information about this topic, please call Assistant Superintendent Christopher Kibbe at 463-9958. For information specific to a particular school, we suggest that you contact the school's office.

The following Internet Procedure is signed by each student and/or their parent/guardian in the WNESU:

DISTRICT INTERNET PROCEDURES

We are pleased to bring the Internet to our Northeast Supervisory Union schools, faculty, and staff. We believe the Internet offers unique, diverse, and wonderful resources to students, teachers and the community in general. Our goal is to promote access to international, national, state and local resources which will enhance and strengthen academic learning for all.

The internet is an electronic highway connecting hundreds of computers all over the world and millions of individual subscribers.

With access to computers and people all over  the world  also comes the availability of material that may not be considered educational in the context of the school setting. On a global network it is impossible to control all materials and an industrious user may discover controversial information. Our District firmly believes that the valuable information and interaction available on this worldwide network far outweighs the possibility that users may obtain material that is not consistent with educational goals of the District.

The District reserves the right to restrict access to questionable material and will limit inappropriate use. We require that users adhere to strict ethical and legal guidelines./ If a user violates any of these provisions, access via the school will be terminated, and future access denies, appropriate penalties in effect.
