MINUTES
Charlie Jarras, Chair, called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.
2. Approve Special Meeting Warning: Jim moved approval of the Warning for Special Town Meeting on May 11, 2009. Mike seconded and the motion carried.
Mary Barber brought a CD containing open meeting law from the Secretary of State’s Office and gave it to Johanna.
Reappoint Teaching Staff for 2009-2010: Jim moved to authorize the Superintendent to reduce in force the teaching staff; Mike seconded. Mary asked why RIF everybody, which may cause mass exodus and the loss of some top-notch teachers. Administration acknowledged this but said it gives them time to make the correct decisions as to who to RIF. The motion carried.
Jim asked if FACTV could incorporate the Wednesday meeting as part of this one and air them together, but it was already broadcast with the WNESU heading.
Adjournment: Jim moved and Tim seconded to adjourn at 5:40 PM; the motion carried.
