Special School Board Meeting
September 4, 2007
Present: Jack Bryar, Russell Capron, David Clark, Stephen L. Fine, Matthew Guild, William Harmon, Paul Obuchowski, Stephen Major, Margaret Perry
Also Present: Johanna Harpster, Christopher Kibbe, Christopher Hodsden, Eagle Times, Brattleboro Reformer, faculty members
1. Call to Order:
The Chair, David Clark, called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.
2. Executive Session:
Russ Capron moved to go into executive session at 5:02 p.m. for the purpose of discussing contract and legal matters, and invited the administration to attend. The motion passed. At 5:20 p.m. the Chair invited Priscilla Lambert and Kathy Miller to attend.
The Chair returned the board to open session at 5:35 p.m.
Stephen Fine moved that the Chair is authorized to execute the Release Agreement that has been negotiated between the board and the union, and to execute the Collective Bargaining Agreement and to put into effect the terms thereof, but to delay delivery of these documents to the union until seven (7) days following the execution by the union and Ms. Zielinski of the Release Agreement, the General Releases, the Zielinski resignation, and the withdrawal of the Unfair Labor Practice charge, provided that Ms. Zielinski does not rescind the transaction within that seven (7) day period. Paul Obuchowski seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
3. Adjournment:
Bill Harmon moved to adjourn at 5:44 p.m. The motion passed.
