School Board Meeting
April 30, 2007
Present: Russell Capron, Marc Caron, Jack Bryar, David Clark, Stephen L. Fine, Susan Hernon, Stephen Major, Paul Obuchowski, Margaret Perry, John Porter
Also Present: Johanna Harpster, Kathleen Callahan, Christopher Hodsden, Ryan Parkman, FACT-TV
1. Call to Order:
The Chair, David Clark, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Unfinished Business:
A. Jack Porter instructed Principal Chris Hodsden to see that the drainage ditch was fixed as soon as possible. The road is ready to wash out. Depending on the size of the stones used, the cost would be from $1,700 to $3,000. We could use our savings from snow removal to fund the project. The vote was unanimous.
3. Executive Session:
A. There being no objection, the Chair declared that the board enter
executive session at 7:20 p.m. for the purpose of discussing a contract
matter, and invited the administration to attend.
The Chair returned the board to open session at 8:35 p.m. At that time, Principal Hodsden read the letter he had submitted to the board.
4. At that time, members of the public were invited to comment. The following
people spoke in support of Principal Hodsden:

Upon motion:
· The Board moved to not accept Chris’s letter as a letter of resignation. Supporting the motion were Jack Bryar, Steve Fine, Steve Major, Margaret Perry and Paul Obuchowski. Voting in opposition were Marc Caron, Sue Hernon, Jack Porter and Russ Capron.
· The Board moved to advertise the position as anticipated. Supporting the motion were Marc Caron, Margaret Perry, Sue Hernon, Jack Bryar and Russ Capron. Opposed were Stephen Fine, Stephen Major, Paul Obuchowski and Jack Porter.
5. Adjournment:
There being no further business to come before the meeting and no objection, the Chair declared the meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
